About Maddie

Hi everybody, my name is Maddie! I am currently an online student at Morningside University in Sioux City Iowa, studying to get my bachelors degree in elementary education. I live and work full-time in the Iowa City area. Over the years I have acquired experience working with and caring for children of all ages in a wide variety of settings. I started volunteering in an infant room when I was just 14 years old. I went on to work in that day care and many others, working with babies and toddlers all the way up through elementary aged children. It was in one of these older kid classrooms where I decided to start the journey to becoming an elementary school teacher, and hopefully one day a librarian. Since then I have been working towards my degree and will graduate in the spring of 2025. I am looking for an opportunity to get to know a family and continue to care for children, spend some time outside when able and enjoy our time together!
