I currently work as a paraeducator at a public school in NE Portland, supporting middle schoolers with disabilities. I have also worked at a Montessori preschool for 2. 5 years, provided childcare for immigrants and refugees attending classes at a community center, and worked for a school-based mentoring program with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Crafts, playing outside, and reading are three of my favorite things to do with kids I'm watching. I'll never be the person who parks the kids in front of TV or video games, I can't handle too much screen time myself. Going to the park, the library, or just for a walk can be much more fun.
