About Maddie

I worked at a pediatric eating disorder clinic, Kartini Clinic, as the assistant to the school teacher. This entailed a lot of one on one tutoring as children were in a wide-range of grades and developmental levels. In high school, I worked with children with developmental delays or behavioral problems and mentored freshmen as a senior. Though not formal tutoring experience, I helped run study groups while at nursing school. Lastly, I have taught yoga for over 5 years across the lifespan. Many of the skills required to teach yoga apply to tutoring, patience, creativity, meeting the student where they are, curiosity, and optimism.
