About Madeline

I've been babysitting since I was 9, and since then, I have watched infants, middle-school kids, and every age in between! I also worked at the YMCA in the child care department and because of that, I am CPR certified and have taken both first aid courses and child/infant care courses. My experience has been unique because one of the families I've babysat for has a child with autism. (There were also 4 kids in the family!) It was difficult to breakthrough with him, but it taught me to be creative in coming up with fun activities and to be understanding as well as patient. That being said, I always bring some of my own activities like board games or crafts for your kids to play with. One time we did tie dye t-shirts! On a more personal level, I really enjoy playing my violin in my spare time, running by the river near my college and picking out a great book to read at Barnes & Noble! I am currently studying Neuroscience and Spanish, and plan on going to medical school after I graduate. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!
