Maddie is amazing with animals. She is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of their well-being, behavior, interactions and care and has a great calming presence, too. Maddie has been caring for our dog weekly for 2 years and it’s been a great experience! We adopted our dog from a shelter and she has some reactivity issues. Over the last 2 years, Maddie helped our dog get more socialized and adjust to multiple different environments, including a kennel situation. We were initially nervous about boarding our dog anywhere, but Maddie made that a non-issue. She made the experience a positive, relaxing, fun situation where our dog now loves to go to both day care and boarding in a kennel. What’s really fun to see is that our dog cannot wait to see Maddie—as soon as she’s out of the car, she runs to Maddie for rubs, snuggles and attention. Maddie has also been a great coach and has helped us to learn more about dog behavior, especially what is normal and how to understand what our pup is trying to tell us. She’s helped us to learn, grow and have peace-of-mind on our adoption journey. We cannot say enough amazing things about Maddie—we’re so grateful to have her caring for our dog!
