About Mackenzie

When I was in my undergrad, I worked at a facility called Listening Ear and was placed in a group home with four women who had various disabilities, ages ranging from 40-75. I learned so much from these women and I really loved them. I won't lie, some days were really hard there, but they taught me so much about patience and love. During my internship, I moved to Grand Rapids and worked at Covenant Village of the Great Lakes and I LOVED my residents. I was often scheduled in the dementia unit so I have a LOT of experience working will dementia/Alzheimer's clients. I also passed meds at this facility, helped with showers, dressing, changing sheets, you name it. My favorite thing about this job was spending time with my elders and hearing their stories. They crack me up. I loved taking them on walks, going through photo albums and just being there. They're the reason I want to specialize in geriatric chiropractic.
