About Mackenzie

Hi, my name is Mackenzie! I am a 23-year-old new grad with a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Mathematics and a minor in Economics. As a tutor, I am approachable, hands-on, and curate sessions to each specific student's needs. I have seven years of experience in tutoring a wide range of Mathematics, from basic Math to Calculus 3. I first began as a volunteer at Penn-Trafford High School and then went on to be employed as a tutor for Calculus 1-3 at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. My experience also includes tutoring in Spanish, English, and basic Physics. My goal is to work with students to identify their specific struggles and devise targeted objectives to address their needs. Typically, I meet with students for an hour at least once a week, customizing schedules based on their understanding of the material. I am able to provide and work through exercises with the students, as well as offer in-depth explanations of topics and theories.
