This mindset and natural instinct of mine led me to choosing a path in elementary education and caregiving. I am currently studying at Virginia Commonwealth University and December 2022 I will receive my Masters in Elementary Education. I have my certificate in Dyslexia Awareness, Child Abuse and Neglect Awareness, and Regulations Governing Restraint and Seclusion Certificate. Throughout this process I have worked with children K-5th individually, in group settings, and virtually. As my time at VCU comes to an end, I've never felt more certain that I will be following a career path where my passion can flourish.

I initially had a positive experience with Mackenzie, who seemed clean, proactive, and professional. As a single father juggling two young children—an 8-month-old and a 2-year-old—her help was initially appreciated. However, her lack of reliability quickly became a major issue. After initial good communication, she began canceling her scheduled days without much notice and eventually stopped responding altogether. This behavior felt unprofessional and immature, especially considering the importance of consistency in childcare. My oldest child developed a bond with her, making her sudden departure without explanation quite disheartening for our family. While she was proactive and communicative initially, the lack of follow-through ultimately overshadowed the positive aspects of her service. Reliability is crucial in childcare, and unfortunately, Mackenzie did not meet that expectation
