About Mackayla

Greetings friend! I'm a certified caregiver with over 4 years of childcare experience, both in childcare centers and individual households. I have training in First Aid, Pediatric & Adult CPR, & safe sleep (SIDS). One of my highest priorities as an individual and as a caregiver is safety, and I remain highly COVID-conscious in a closed exposure bubble with rigorous masking and safety norms to maximize the health and well-being of my community and those to whom I provide care. I follow the latest research on both safety and child development, and make a point to stay active in the discourse on how best to facilitate growth and development. I use a holistic, child-centered approach to teaching & nurturing kiddos through this big world, helping to foster understanding and developing social and emotional skills. I have an affinity for teaching through interest, encouraging imagination, and bringing nature into learning. I hope we can learn and grow together!
