Hi! I'm Macie! I'm a Psychology graduate who recently moved to Chicago and am so excited to start this new chapter in the city. I've always loved working with kids, and after years of babysitting and nannying throughout school and college, I realized childcare is something I genuinely want to continue being a part of. I grew up playing soccer from the age of 3 and played competitively through college, so I'm definitely an active person! I love being outside, playing sports, going to parks, doing crafts, baking, and finding fun little adventures to make an ordinary day exciting. I'm also a big believer in letting kids be themselves and creating an environment where they feel comfortable, heard, and encouraged. My Psychology degree has made me especially passionate about child development, and I love getting to know each child's individual personality and interests. I'm hoping to find a family in Chicago that I can really connect with and become a trusted, familiar part of their lives!

We have two young children, and Macie cared for them for quite a while. She would often spend most of the day with them, and they absolutely loved her! She was always attentive and helpful—feeding them, playing with them, picking up after them, and making sure they were having fun. So many times, we’d come home to find that Macie had planned a full-blown craft or project with the kids, and it was such a joy seeing how much fun they had together. She truly went above and beyond. One of my favorite memories was when she watched the kids so my husband and I could go out for his birthday. While we were gone, she helped them make and decorate a birthday cake, decorated with balloons and banners and when we walked back in, they all yelled, “Surprise!” It was incredibly sweet and something we’ll always remember. Macie became so much more than just a babysitter to us—she truly felt like part of our family. Our kids adored her, and we were always comfortable knowing they were happy, cared for, and having a great time with her.
