I have a nephew who has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. I have worked with people with disabilities for 11 years in New York. I started as Community Support Professional at AHRC NYC in an Adult Day Program. As CSP I utilized positive approach when assisting person who demonstrated challenging behaviors. Ensured person's safety within the program as well as in the community. Conducted activities to provide each person the opportunity to engage in the activities provided. I have worked as CSP for 5 years from 3/2010 to 7/2015. I was promoted to a supervisory level on 7/15/2015 and stayed in the same position until 01/03/2022. Due to the distance from our new home here in Bridgeport Connecticut an hour drive to work and more than an hour going back home prompted me to resign from my job at AHRC NYC. I has migrated to the U. S. in November 30, 2009. Before I came to the U. S. I have also experience working in the Philippine Refugee Processing Center for Indochinese refugees.
