Hello! I am employed as an elementary school substitute teacher and an after school tutor. A couple of summers ago, I was a summer nanny for a wonderful family. I knew that I was one of many potential nannies that were being interviewed for this position. The parents asked me questions about my background. I told them about my experience as a mother, my professional job qualifications, and my educational background. The parents had two children, who were at that time approximately 18 months old (still in diapers) and a 5-year-old. I asked to meet their sons. I have always carried with me, what I call, and my "bag of tricks." I had some empty water bottles and a small, round ball. In their playroom, I set up a bowling game. It was a simple process, wherein, I wanted the parents to see me in action. I also wanted an opportunity to earn the trust of their children. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the children clap their hands, hears them laugh, and ask to play again and again. At that moment, both the parents and I knew I was, indeed, the perfect person for the job. I would like to repeat that success again by being a great nanny for your sons.
