About Lydia

Hello! My name is Lydia, and I have over 7 years of experience working with children in both 1:1 and group settings. My experience includes private nannying, gymnastics coaching, Lead Teacher roles in toddler and preschool classrooms, and most recently working within the Niskayuna school district supporting students on the autism spectrum and children with behavioral needs. While my official title was Special Education Teaching Assistant, my role focused heavily on individualized educational and behavioral support in resource room settings. I am currently pursuing a teaching degree after graduating from Hudson Valley Community College. I am passionate about creativity, music, hands-on learning, and helping children build age-appropriate life skills. I love creating engaging activities tailored to each child's personality and developmental needs while fostering confidence, independence, and growth.
