We hired Lupe to watch our twin 3-yr old boys for about 2 months, 6 hours a day, 4 days a week, while I was working in the area. She was great! So loving, fun and reliable. I never worried about leaving the boys in her care; she has a heart of gold. She took the boys to the playground or library every day, regardless of weather. She stuck to our established schedule and provided consistency. She prepped lunch and served lunch and cared for them as they recovered from hand, foot, mouth (nasty illness!). One of our boys has significant health and developmental issues, to include severe nut allergy requiring an Epi-pen. This did not phase her and I felt she would be capable of handling any issue that might come up. Fortunately, nothing did. The boys were at a developmental stage where they were testing limits and boundaries. Lupe remained calm and kind. Perhaps she could have been a bit more strict, but that isn't her style. And personally, especially for short term care, I prefer to know they are in loving hands rather than being subject to unduly harsh corrections - or worse. We are so sad to be leaving the area and have offer to have Lupe visit us any time she wants. We'll miss her!
