About Luke

With two years of regular tutoring experience at the high-school level (2-3 hrs per week), I have tutored in more than four languages across 18 different subjects. I always do my best to bring a smile and positive energy into my sessions and really care about the people I work with. I can tutor in any subject up to the 12th grade level, including AP courses like Calculus, English Literature, or Chemistry. I would also be happy to help prep students for their courses prior to taking them! Having achieved a 34 ACT and 1530 SAT score, I am happy to work with students on test prep material + test taking strategies. As far as tutoring qualifications go, I was accepted as a presenter at the Secondary School Writing Center Association's national conference where I held a 70 minute workshop on tutoring practice, and I started a nonprofit tutoring organization to help serve underprivileged communities in the Charlottesville area. I plan to study developmental psych at W&M starting this fall.
