About Lucinda

After 23 years in 911, there isn't much that rattles me--but I'd much rather spend an evening helping with homework, making something creative, playing outside, or hearing all about whatever a child is currently fascinated by! I started caring for kids at age nine when my youngest sister was born, babysat for years, and later helped raise my four nieces and nephews. I'm comfortable with all ages, babies through teens. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and am completing my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I currently work in behavioral health and am Red Cross BLS/CPR certified, so staying calm, attentive, and safety-conscious comes naturally. I believe kids deserve to be listened to and taken seriously, while still having plenty of room to be kids. I'm warm, creative, dependable, comfortable with pets, and looking for flexible evening, weekend, date-night, occasional, or recurring care with families who want someone they can genuinely trust.
