About Lucas

Hello! My name is Luke and I am a patient, caring, and fun-loving individual who has always enjoyed working with and being around kids. I am now an uncle to 2 nieces and 5 nephews who I adore getting to spend time with whenever I'm able, but I have been around kids basically my entire life. My mom ran an in-home daycare for several years when I was a child then transitioned to become an elementary school teacher. I believe I learned my empathy, joy, and kindness from her and my father. I began babysitting my cousins' children and my own nieces and nephews as infants and toddlers in middle and high school. I then worked as an assistant director at my hometown's local summer recreation program called "Kid's Club" for 7 years from high school into college working with school-aged kids ranging from kindergarten to 6th grade. In another life I would've followed in my mom's footsteps and become an elementary school teacher of some kind.
