About Lourdes

I have 16 years of experience at a high school where I provide one-to-one tutoring for students (K-12). I am responsible for implementing a tutoring schedule, coordinating the time and place of tutoring and working with the student in either Math, or Reading, or Language Development. I also have lots of different training with strategies on how to teach them and how to run my classroom. I am a friendly, energetic, responsible person who loves children of all ages. I have babysat children, ages 1 month to 14 years old. During the summer, I will be available all day until August 4th when I go back to school and my availability will be after 2:30 p.m.

I met Lourdes in 2002 at Northwest High School on the far west side of Indianapolis. Northwest is part of the Indianapolis Public School system. Lourdes was a para professional working with bilingual students. She was very pleasant and treated everyone with the utmost respect. When the Indianapolis Algebra Project (IAP) started its' tutoring program in 2006, the IAP contacted Lourdes and asked for her help with bilingual students. Lourdes remained a loyal employee for many years now. The IAP also voted to bring her on as a member of the Board of Directors for the IAP. Lourdes has been a very dependable and responsible tutor and Board Member for a long time. We trust her impeccably. The students she tutored trusted her as well and her relationship with the parents was outstanding. She is a wonderful mother and great friend.
