About Lourdes

Hi, I am Lourdes, a school counselor and retired college professor from Puerto Rico with a strong background in education and psychology that help me better understand and care for the elderly. For the last 10 years I have dedicated myself to the accompaniment and care of older adults with dementia/Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and stroke survivors between the ages of 70 to 92 years. I have learned to care for them and treat them with deep respect for their dignity as human beings. I am a sweet and very patient person and I speak and treat them gently. I can assist your loved one in their feeding, taking medication and hygiene and personal grooming. I can also prepare food for he/she, keep his/her areas organized and clean, take he/she to medical appointments and do grocery shopping. My main language is Spanish, but I can communicate in English, although not as fluently.
