Hello, my name is Lori and I was a CNA in southern Maryland working in Veterans home and hospital for several years until I stopped to raise my children. I was fortunate enough to be able to return to caring for the elderly when my kids were grown. I have some nursing skills which includes use of the hoyer lift, working with ALS/ paraplegic patients and a lot of experience working with Alzheimer's/ dementia patients. I have a sunny, positive personality and I hope to bring your family peace and relieve some stress. I have been vaccinated for Covid, I have my own car and love pets.

during the initial hiring process Lori seemed like a good fit but she seemed very unsure of what she wanted.  She never did come to work for us caring for my mother.   I needed good help and thought she fit the role.  Lori needs to be honest and upfront and not drag her decisions out.  I was left wondering if she was very good at her job and truly wanted to help others or just being picky

Lori has been a key part of our caregiver team for my dad! She consistently goes above and beyond in her care, is genuinely caring and very reliable. She is also willing to help out when we need a shift covered unexpectedly. 
Even more importantly though, my dad likes her very much, they’ve had wonderful conversations about his growing up in the PNW.  She is an excellent and skilled caregiver. 

Lori is extremely professional, knowledgeable about adult senior care and most importantly caring.   She has a very friendly and kind personality and is a great addition to anyone’s long term senior care plan.

Lori provided care and companionship for my mother from late January, 2022, until August 8, 2023. She worked a 12 hour shift, primarily nights, and worked a 48-60 hour week. She provided good quality care to my mom and was a friendly, personable companion to her. Lori went out of her way to engage in conversation with her, cook special meals/foods for her and relate to her. My mom liked spending time with her and I felt good about the care Lori provided her.

Lori was also very helpful in covering extra shifts when we needed it and/ or coming in early or staying late to help ensure that my mom had 24 hour care. 

I think she would have made  good care giver for my Mom.  We interviewed her, but unfortunately my KMom passed before we could hire her.

Lori stayed with my 88 year old Mom for four afternoons when we went to the beach. She was punctual and very gracious when I gave her the incorrect start date. My mother was well-fed and really enjoyed getting to know Lori. She managed to get my mom out walking on the deck each day. Something I couldn't do. I would hire her again without hesitation.

My family was lucky to have Lori as a caregiver for my mother and I wholeheartedly recommend her for a position as a caregiver. My mother is in the middle stages of Alzheimer's. Because of these logistics, the hiring process was done through phone calls and video call meetings. Lori met my mother on her first day of work and by the end of day one, she had created an entire schedule that included hygiene, exercise, engaging activities, outings and fun games. They did water aerobics, had weekly baking days, played card games, went on daily walks etc. Lori volunteered to take her to doctor appointments and always left notes on how the day went. For those of us in New York, she often sent photos, video chatted and passed on funny stories my mother often told! Lori's dedication to my mother's care was evident throughout the four months she was in SC. Lori preserved her dignity, ensured her safety a and enhanced her quality of life while maintaining an open line of communication with our family.

Lori has been so incredible with my Grandma. I feel so fortunate to have found her! She is understanding and willing to do whatever is needed to make sure my Grandma is staying active and safe. I love getting photo and call updates! We are beyond thrilled to have had Lori come into our lives and my Grandmas. She is truly one of a kind and would recommend her without a doubt!! Thank you Lori!!!
