About Lorelai Michelle

I'm a pre-med biology student at UNCW, originally from Cary, NC. Over the past two summers, I worked full-time as a nanny (8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays), and I worked for 4 other families as a sitter. Each family has 2-4 children ages 2 to 12, but I have cared for infants under 1 year as well. I genuinely love working with kids and hope to specialize in pediatric healthcare in the future. I'm skilled at connecting with children of different ages, needs, and personalities, and I always handle unexpected or frustrating situations quickly and thoughtfully. I also have extensive experience simultaneously supporting siblings with very different needs, and I strive to build meaningful connections with each child I care for. This is something I'm especially passionate about because I grew up with a younger sister with special needs, so I find great value in ensuring that every child feels understood. I'm very patient and am able to connect with children even when they are feeling shy or upset
