About Lonnie

I'd describe my personality as friendly, reliable and engaging. I like tutoring because I remember when there was a time where I may have needed help, and it was not offered. I wouldn't want that for anyone. I'm looking for a job that allows me to be myself. Also, it would be awesome if the parents want to engage as well so their kid can be comfortable. At the end of the day, we're both here for a reason. Let's make the kid as comfortable as possible. I started tutoring when I became a tennis coach at NYJTL. During my time there, I spent a lot of time helping the students with their homework. Overtime, I realized I became really good at it and I started picking up small gigs. In my spare time, I like to play tennis, hang out with family and friends, and play video games. One thing you should know about me is that I'm going to commit to the child. I'm fairly simple and I break things down so the child clearly understands the assignment. My skills include Math, English and Art.
