I have been working with kids for six years now, with multiple age groups - from toddlers to teenagers - as a teacher, a nanny, and a tutor. I have experience working both with high-ability children that are very curious and can't relate to the way subjects are taught in school, as well as kids who are just struggling to keep up with classes. I have vast experience tutoring kids in: - preschool (with Kindergarten readiness, pre-reading abilities, artistic exploration, gross and fine motor skills); - elementary school (with basic math, literacy skills, arts and crafts, developmental movement and coordination); - middle and high school (mostly with History and Geography, but also some experience with Math, Science/Biology, Art, Spanish, and Portuguese). I have a degree in Education, a certificate in Literacy, and I'm currently a grad student studying Educational Equity and Bilingual Education.
