As a Day Habilitation Instructor, consumers and I volunteered delivering meals to home-bound seniors. We also assisted with food shopping, laundry care and light housekeeping duties. I served as a recreation supervisor in Nanuet, NY, where I organized activities for clients with Alzheimer's disease and cognitive disorders. For the past 10 years I have provided home care and companionship services to seniors including individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. My goal is to continue to work with our seniors. I have Personal Care Aide certification. My skills include assisting with bathing, dressing and grooming. Other duties I perform include meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry and shopping. I am a caring and reliable individual who is looking to provide a high quality of life for others through my knowledge and experiences.

I've known Lisa for 25 years, Lisa is a very hard working, patient and responsible woman, Lisa and I worked together at a home in intermediate care facility where we took care of mentally disabled adults. Lisa started out as a residence counselor providing direct care to adults including bathing, showering and dressing. Then she accepted a teaching position in the day treatment program, I was one of her aides assigned to her classroom. Lisa was always caring and sensitive. To the needs of the individuals in her class, Lisa was promoted to a residence manager. Lisa oversaw the care of 10 mentally disabled adults. I was a residence counselor and I thought that Lisa took excellent care of the home and ensured the high quality of care for our adult consumers. I would recommend her for any care giver position.
