About Lisa

Hi. I'm Lisa. Thank you for getting to know me! I have lived in Sonoma County since 1982. I am a mother of 3 sons aged 21, 23 & 25. I have babysat since I was 13, which led to nanny work for several families over the years before I met my husband. We started our family on a small farm in Santa Rosa, where I taught my kids how to grow our own food. My work with young children has always been my passion. I love to inspire children with books about nature, science and imagination (and the long conversations that come up.) I love to nurture their maturing Independence with encouragement and guidance as they experience new challenges both physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. I utilize humor and compassion to interact with children. I show them respect as well as teach respect for all things big and small. Currently, I work part time at a Montessori based preschool in Sebastopol as the head teacher. I'm also taking college courses to become a Tk teacher in the near future.
