About Lisa

Hello there. My name is Lisa. I have been working with students with disabilities for over 20 years. I specialize in working with students prek and elementary school students traditional & homeschooling. I teach reading, writing & math to students with varing abilities and disabilities who benefit from intensive, systematic phomenic awareness and phonics strategies to help them learn to read and write. The curriculum I use is Orton-Gillingham based program which supports students with dyslexic traits and characteristics in reading. The process involves listening to sounds that letters make through a variety of multi-sensory strategies to help with phonics, decoding and phonemic awareness. I support students with socials skills, self advocating and regulatory skills to help them connect & communicate with others. And, my favorite is helping students with focus, attention and motivational skills that can help with self- esteem in learning and growing along thier educational journey.
