About Lisa A

In terms of tutoring opportunities, I am a former special education teacher, with 20+ years experience teaching elementary through junior high school, as well as holding a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I meet students where they are at academically, and break down skills into manageable chunks to help students feel successful as they learn. I use a variety of hands-on activities, as well as paper/pencil tasks to help students learn and connect new skills. (And maybe even have a little fun along the way!) I am also available for nanny positions. I have raised five children of my own, as well as having professional experience with infants through preschool. I love to plan fun activities to do throughout the day (and if we get messy, don't worry-we will clean up!) I am happy to do light housekeeping and meal prep, and have lots of pets, so I am comfortable with animals in your home!
