About Lisa

I am a retired teacher who is experienced, reliable, and relatable. I have 26 years of teaching experience in public schools as well as experience providing homebound services to students unable to attend school in a traditional setting due to health issues. In my tutoring role, I served as a liaison between students/families and the school community/teachers. I provided content-specific tutoring and homework assistance to students in the areas of Spanish, English/ELA, reading, science, social studies, and math. I also enjoy working with students as a "homework completion helper," and can work with them on reading skills, and projects in elective classes, such as art, home economics, or physical education. I am highly organized, familiar with the culture of schools, well-versed in school curricula, and I enjoy working with and helping students and their families.
