About Lindsey

I am a second year graduate student who is interested in securing a part-time babysitting position. I am the second oldest of 9 children and have 7 years of experience working with children. Most of my interactions with children have been in a school setting as a teacher s assistant or lead teacher. In my most recent position, I served as a teacher s assistant for 1st and 2nd graders at a middle school in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to that, I taught 2nd-4th graders through an AmeriCorps program in Los Angeles, California. I also have experience working with children with special needs. I have a 5-year-old brother with Down syndrome, and I also work with children with special needs at a speech and therapy clinic. I believe that babysitting is more than watching a child while their parents are away. Babysitting entails commitment, being a positive role model, and providing the child with stimulating and fun activities that support their growth. Additionally, I am energetic, dependable, nurturing, and flexible with job responsibilities.
