About Linda

Experience: 10 yrs

I have experience with multiple sized families and ages of children. I enjoy planning different daily activities such as walks in the park and visits to the library and museums to name a few. The network I have of families to have play dates with is extensive. This has been important to the families I have worked with in the past.

To Whom It May Concern: This letter is in support of Linda C. as Nanny and household manager. Linda came to our home at a time when we were facing a family health crisis. I was admitted to the hospital in early December and was diagnosed with colon cancer. I have three school-aged children, so in addition to the shocking news of Mom needing surgery, other details of daily life needed to be attended to, such as school, a theatrical production, and holiday concerts for the kids. Linda stepped right in and took over the care of the children, the meals, and even the Christmas shopping. What made the time away from my children during my hospitalization less stressful was the knowledge that not only were the physical needs of my children being met, but also their emotional needs. She loved them and brought hope and a bright spirit into the house. I rested easy in the hospital knowing my kids had an empathetic person to talk to and also that she was providing fun and they enjoyed playing games. Together they created a beautiful gingerbread house for the holidays, worthy of appearing on the cover of a cooking magazine! At the same time that I was in the hospital, my youngest child contracted strep throat with a fever lasting 10 days. Linda stayed right with her caring for her every need and taking her to her many doctor's appointments. I was in the hospital for 23 days, over Christmas, and came home on December 31st. When I arrived home, Linda also cared for me as I recovered from surgery. There was little I could do but sleep and soak in the time with my children. This is not a usual role of a Nanny but she was happy to do it. After the initial crisis was over, Linda continued to come and take me to my doctors' appointments as well as the kids' appointments. She kept the household going by taking care of laundry, dishes, and shopping, as needed. She also did some much needed household organization since my illness occurred while I was in the middle of changing out the kids' seasonal clothes, before taking ill. Quite frankly, I do not know what I would have done had Linda not been available to cover so many areas for the children and our family. Her disposition is always cheerful, she is quick to step in and do what needs to be done, and she is very respectful of the family unit and that her role is to help and enhance. She has been a welcome addition to our household for this particular season in our life. My medical treatment is now on a regular schedule and I have been feeling much stronger. I know that there will be other families who will be so blessed to have Linda in the lives of their children. Linda sees the best in children and truly loves each one she encounters. She will be missed at our household but our family has been so enriched by her presence....even in the middle of cancer. She will be an invaluable asset to any family who has the privilege of her skill, compassion, and fun-loving spirit. Please contact me if you have any questions on the character or work ethic of Linda Chute. I recommend her without hesitation. Sincerely, Glorianne Schott
