I have 1 year of paid experience as a reading tutor for an elementary school in Moreno Valley School District. I worked with the same 2nd grade class all year so I was able to make great connections with the kids and see their full growth, which is my favorite part of tutoring. I was also a mentor and reading tutor to young girls ages 8-12 through Girl Scouts for 2 years. I am a naturally patient and communicative person, and tutoring & mentoring has allowed me to really develop these as skills. I just received my degree in Education & Human Development at UCR so I have taken various courses on how to help students learn in the best way possible.
