About Lila

I have been a professional nanny for five years. I started working with children when I was 15 and got my AS in Early Childhood Education last year from Cabrillo. I've worked with children of all ages. I've been with the same family for four and a half years, the kids are for five nine and 10. I have been a nanny and babysitter to all ages, including several infants and some had siblings. I also taught gymnastics for five years and was the preschool director for a year. I love everything about children (they are the first thing I see when I'm out in public), even the difficult behaviors. I believe in play based learning (I encourage reading and music) and do not rely on TV or electronics to keep children entertained. I love being out doors and am very active.

Lila has been a part of our lives for the past 2 years or so. She initially started with us when our son was about 18 months old. Lila has been reliable and has also had the flexibility to help us in pinch. As our son has gotten older, Lila's job duties changed. It was very easy to discuss changes and what she was open to doing or not. Pretty much every time, she was very accommodating to changes in our son's routine and our household. Lila has helped with our son's development and day-to-day care, drop-off/pick-up, house chores, etc... We have truly appreciated having Lila be a part of our family and hope someone else is able to benefit and experience the same.
