About Lia

I have always had a passion to work with children. This is why I am a teacher. I got a bachelors and a masters degree in special education. Currently, pursuing a post masters degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis. During the school year, I teach for MOCO public schools. During the summer, I work for MOCO Department of Recreation as a behavior manager. I have love and compassion for behaviors including social skills and independent skills. I developed and led social skills, drama, and yoga classes to teach students important life skills in a meaningful way. I am a certified yoga instructor specializing in yoga for children including autism and ADHD. I believe that children need support learning about their feelings and to regulate themselves. My experience has been with early childhood through high school. Mostly with students with special needs. I like to make the learning process fun so that it is easier for children to retain information as well as have fun while learning.
