About Lexi

I am 19 years old and a sophomore at Appalachian State University, where I am majoring in Elementary Education. I have wanted to teach for as long as I can remember, and have a passion for working with children and helping them learn and grow. I have lots of experience working with children ages 3-12 through having an 11-year-old younger brother, babysitting, working two summers at the Asheville Country Club's children's summer camps and daycare, and field experience with 2nd and 4th grade classrooms in high school and college. I also love animals and have lots of experience around dogs. Whether it's reading their favorite stories, helping with homework, or playing outside, I aim to make your child's time with me fun and memorable. I also believe in maintaining open communication with parents to ensure that their expectations are met and their children's routines are followed. I would love to get to know you and your family and hope that I can be a good fit!
