About Lexi

I'm Lexi! I recently graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelors of science in Communication Science and Disorders and a minor in Biology. I'll be attending graduate school at Samford University in the fall for Speech and Language Pathology. My goal is to become a pediatric SLP specializing in working with kids with complex medical needs. I've worked for the YMCA of the Triangle for 5 years, 3 of which I spent as a camp counselor and 2 as an assistant director overseeing Camper Services which focuses on creating individualized behavior plans and inclusion programming for any children in the program aged 4-15 with special needs, and or behavior or mental health challenges. I have a huge passion for working with kids of all ages and would describe myself as someone who is creative, compassionate, and hardworking but loves to have a lot of fun. I enjoy reading and crafts but played soccer for 10 years so I also have a little sporty side too!:)
