About Letura

Hello! My name is Letura, I am 28 years old and have called Lincoln, NE home for 26 years. My family and I came directly to Nebraska as refugees from Nigeria. I have been in the youth/child care space in various capacities since 2016. I have worked at a daycare providing care for infants to toddlers & have worked with inner city youth at local community centers. For two years, I worked for LPS (Lincoln Public Schools) as a Special Education & Behavior Paraeducator at the high school level & currently work as the Youth Engagement Director at a local nonprofit. There I oversee/create all afterschool, in school and summer programming for youth ages 5 to 18. I also founded a nonprofit called Art Bus LNK, an ADA accessible mobile art studio focused on providing free art programming to youth in the Lincoln & Omaha area.
