Experience: 5 yrs
Hi families! I'm a caring, responsible, and energetic nanny with over 5 years of experience working with children of all ages, including infants. I truly love spending time with kids, helping them learn, explore, and have fun in a safe and positive environment. I'm known for being flexible, reliable, and patient, and I always adapt to each family's unique needs and routines. I have great references from previous families who can speak to my dedication and warm personality. Whether it's keeping your little ones engaged with creative activities, helping with homework, or maintaining structure in their day, I always strive to make life easier for parents and enjoyable for kids.
We hired Letitia to care for our 10-month-old daughter. During the interview, we specifically asked whether she was comfortable caring for a clingy, breastfed baby, and she said she was. When she arrived for her first day, our daughter was fussy. I also told Letitia that she was still working on sleeping independently in her crib for naps. Letitia said that was okay and that she was open to helping with the transition. Our daughter remained fussy with Letitia throughout the day. Letitia also did not seem very energetic for our active 10-month-old, but overall, I thought the day went okay. The following morning, just 30 minutes before she was supposed to arrive, Letitia texted me saying she did not think she could do the job because she was used to babies who were sleep trained. I was baffled, particularly because she had said she had experience caring for babies as young as two months old. I do not know many two-month-olds who are “sleep trained.” More importantly, if caring for a baby who was not sleep trained was a dealbreaker, I would have expected her to say so during the interview, especially after we discussed our daughter’s needs. The last-minute notice left us scrambling for care. Overall, it was an unprofessional experience.
