About Leslie

My name is Leslie. I'm 21 years old, live in Brooklyn, and take public transportation. I am CPR and First Aid certified through training I did when I attended BMCC. I currently work as a Group Leader in an after-school program affiliated with the Brooklyn Children's Museum, where I supervise and support 21 elementary school students daily. This summer I'm being promoted, where I'll teach my own classroom. I was given the opportunity to create a class of my choice, and I chose to develop an Emotional Learning class because I am passionate about helping children understand their emotions and build self-regulation skills. I am patient, dependable, energetic, and comfortable with pets-I have a dog and a cat of my own. I believe every child is unique and value working closely with families to understand their child's individual needs. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and positive environment while giving parents peace of mind that their child is in caring and capable hands.
