About Lesli

I was born and raised in Honduras. I trained as a teacher in Tegucigalpa and taught preschool through fifth grade for two years before coming to Seattle in 2004 in search of new opportunities. I fell in love, got married, and now I have a son and a daughter in primary and high school. As a family, we started our own small business that we ran for several years before I felt called to return to teaching. I started working at a local language school in Ballard until the pandemic began, and they closed. I started teaching several groups of student families when schools closed during the pandemic. I want to continue working with families with one goal: to allow families like mine to immerse their children in the Spanish language and culture. As a mother of two children, I know the importance of bilingual education.
