About Lesley

I have 25 plus years experience as a nanny. In that time I learned valuable skills in patience, compassion, being present and available and being a fun, enjoyable caretaker. I also have close to 2 years experience caring for a gentleman in his 70's with dementia and eventually Alzheimer's. It was through my time in elder care that I learned what matters most when providing that type of care, being able to multi task, be a good listener, a reliable caretaker, a professional and someone who enjoys being with the elderly. I have had beautiful experiences with the elderly since high school when I worked at a nursing home in their restaurant. The stories, experiences and gratitude spoke to me in my heart. This is what gave me the feeling of being challenged and gratified with a strong sense of purpose. I feel like my nanny experiences prepared me in many ways to be a good person for elder care.
