When my son was 5 months old, I returned to work (from home) but had to wait 2 more months until our daycare spot opened. I feel so fortunate to have had Lenita’s care during that time, and she is currently helping us with the transition into daycare by providing morning support. My son absolutely adores her and beams when he sees her in the mornings. Lenita keeps him well fed, rested, entertained, works on skills with him, and is fully capable of soothing him—which allows me to stay focused as I work from home, because even if I hear him fuss, I know she is actively working to comfort him. She does all that and maintains a tidy environment in a way I have yet to master. I also appreciate the exposure my son’s getting to a second language, as Lenita talks and sings to him in both English and Portuguese. I recommend her care without reserve. We’ll both miss her when we are fully transitioned into daycare.
