About Lena

I have been a CNA for 3+ years, got my BSN last year and then my RN license. As I graduated last year, I do not have much experience, but I have 750+ clinical hours in many fields of medical care. I first wanted to be a nurse when helping take care of my siblings, as I've helped a lot since the age of 3 when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. I am now the oldest of 14 and have 10+ years caring for those newborn to 17, caretaking from an hour to two weeks. My dream was strengthened when my grandmother had cancer. During this time we made many visits and I wanted to help her at any time of day or night, from waking up in the morning, to midnight medications. Being able to do this was humbling and fueled my desire to serve. Working in a Med-surg and ICU proved more what I wanted. I learned how making a difference in others lives is among the most beautiful things. With the long years of school, the shifts I worked and my clinical days fueled me so I can now use my knowledge to serve.
