I was a full-time nanny for two summers in a row. I was held accountable for the care and safety of three children ages two, four and seven, responsible for driving the children to camps, clubs and other activities and planned age-appropriate activities on a daily basis. This helped me to perfect the appropriate balance between disciplining and providing an educational and enjoyable environment for the children. I also worked at a fitness center in the Child Activities Center. Here, I took care of and engaged in activities with children ages 3 months- 12 years to allow the parent or guardian to participate in activities such as working out, swimming, or dining in the cafe without having to worry about the child. I also organized and ran children's birthday parties with activities included rock climbing, swimming, movies, and playing games, as well as being responsible for cleaning and the upkeep of the center cleanliness and safety.
