About Leilanis

Hello! My name is Leila. I have a passion for working with children and adolescents, and have tutoring experience for both college students and middle/high school students as an Ignite Fellow through Teach for America. I pride myself on being patient, kind, and breaking things down for students who are struggling to understand or keep up. As a former ESL student, I understand how difficult it can be playing catch-up, and would love to help out where I can. I specialize in English language arts and foreign languages, psychology, and biology. Education info: I am a graduate student on break before beginning my Ph. d. program. I obtained by IB Diploma in high school, including passing 6 AP classes. I graduated cum laude from Florida State University and with a 3. 95 from Northern Illinois University's graduate school.
