About Leianne

In October 2021, I moved from big city life in Hotlanta to the mid coast of Maine. Immediately I signed up for what I called "No more heels on wheels". I delivered a hot meal once a week for "Meals on Wheels" to rural farms/owners in Union, Waldoboro, Appleton, Hope. I had the best time it was my favorite day of the week. I had between 8-16 recipients. Most were in their late 80s. One of my favorites was 99 and he was still smowing his lawn. They were simple, humble, folks but lacked a lot of attention from the outside world. Their kids, grandkids, family often weren't local and they were often times lonely. Some lived in homes that had been condemned but they had no place to go. Others were still on their family's original farm/homestead from the 1880's. I made such great friends. They may not have anything worth in terms of monetary value, but getting to know them was so valuable me. I knew no one and I developed great friendships with these folks.
