About Leesa

I am a certified teacher. I teach sixth grade and am currently working on my math endorsement as well as my masters in curriculum and instruction. As long as I've been teaching, I have also been serving at a restaurant. I would like to help more students succeed and get out of the restaurant industry. I LOVE math, so I find teaching it to be even more fun. I've taught 5th and 6th grade for six years! I'd describe my personality as outgoing, positive, and productive. I like tutoring because much like teaching I enjoy seeing the "light" turn on and students become excited to learn about something they were wary of previously. I'm looking for a job that is flexible with my school/teaching schedule. I started tutoring when I started teaching. I would hold tutoring after school for struggling students. I have also helped my siblings with homework from high school on. In my spare time, I like to be social and active. My skills include organization, communication, and being prepared.
