Hi, my name is Lea! I've been a CPS elementary teacher for the past 12 years and am now looking to become a full-time nanny. I have a Masters of Education and have taught students in grades K-8, in all core subject areas. I specialize in reading and writing instruction. I've been vetted by Care. com to provide on-call babysitting for infants and children through their Care at Work program. I've also worked as a part-time babysitter for 2 families in Bucktown. I am energetic, playful and creative. I excel at collaborating with adults to help children grow and thrive. Above all, I love helping kids build their confidence and discover their passions!

Ms. Lea is WONDERFUL with children!! The first time I hired her both my kids (6 and 8) were in a bad mood (unrelated to Lea) right before she came, but she was able to calm them within minutes and they started liking her and talked with her right away! (They are usually very shy.) In addition to additional babysitting, I also hired Lea to help out during two bounce house parties (80-100 people each) doing various work from setting up the party, getting/setting up food, doing crafts with kids, and sometimes watch the bounce house. She arrived before the start time and through out the party was very hard working, keeping the food freshly supplied, cleaning the trash, and making sure the crafts are running smoothly. She helped me replenish the drinks multiple times when it ran out. The craft that the kids did was very difficult, but she helped so much and all the children had a great time!!!
