About Leanne

Most of my working life has been spent working with children. It started, with babysitting, which became assisting in the drama classes I was taking, to teaching the drama classes themselves, to being lead camp counselor and drama teacher for under-served youth, to touring with a Children's Theatre as an Actor/Director and developing/teaching my own curriculum at theTheatre. I also was a play and art teacher for a year and a half, teaching ages 0-5. In addition, I have been teaching my own dance classes for 4 years now, working with ages 5 years-adult. I have learned so much from teaching children. It has made me the person I am today. To name some, I have learned patience, creativity, communication, gratitude, sincerity, enthusiasm, problem-solving, and compassion, and I know the learning will continue. I love to have fun and laugh, but I also know how to be a strong leader, be clear in my expectations and consistent in follow-through. I strive to encourage children to make healthy, independent choices and to set them up for success. I look forward to meeting you and your family and hope we are a perfect match!
