About Leah

I'd describe my personality as reliable, loyal, compassionate. I've grown up with animals & they've always been a huge part of my life. In 2008 I cofounded the Shelter Animal Reiki Association, a nonprofit that brings meditation techniques to shelters globally. I teach classes at wild animal sanctuaries, humane societies & horse rescues. I'm looking for a job that allows me to work with animals & allow them to feel cared & and supported. Throughput my adult life I've babysat & cared for dogs & cats of friends & work colleagues. In my spare time, I like to do yoga, meditate & play with my 2 dogs. My goal is to build a relationship with your animal where they look forward to our time together. I truly love animals. My skills include creating instant trust with animals, being able to calm animals during difficult times & using positive reinforcement to create positive habits. Working with shelter animals has given me the tools to create safety, trust & respect.
