About Leah

The most important role I've played thus far in life is mom to my 12-year-old son. He's shown me what it's like to work hard and play even harder. His curiosity and strong will has taught me that no dream is too big. Most of all though, he has opened my eyes to the unique talents and needs that each child can bring to the table. My childcare philosophy is based on the notion that all children are unique. Because of this, I highly value hands-on activities and creative learning. I believe that most of life's greatest lessons are taught alongside a strong academic curriculum and therefore focus on reinforcing good behavior, enhancing personal and social skills, and learning to create a sense of self. I have a degree in Elementary Education (K-6th) from Bloomsburg University. I have obtained my Master's in Early Childhood Educational Leadership. I have experience in substitute teaching for grades K-8th and I was previously a School Age Program Director.
